Catholic Archbishop of Monrovia Blesses Newly Constructed Cafeteria at Stella Maris Polytechnic University

The Catholic Archbishop of Monrovia, His Grace, Most Reverend Dr. Gabriel Blamo Snosio Jubwe, has officially blessed and opened the newly constructed cafeteria at Stella Maris Polytechnic University (SMPU). The dedication ceremony was held at the University’s St. Joseph Campus on Capitol Hill, Monrovia, and brought together members of the clergy, university officials, and the wider SMPU community.Speaking during the ceremony, Archbishop Jubwe commended the administration of Stella Maris Polytechnic University for its spirit of innovation and its commitment to completing development projects initiated by previous administrations. He specifically recognized the foundational efforts of former Presidents, Sister Mary Laurene, OSF, and the late Dr. Franklin T. Dalieh, whose initiatives have been successfully carried forward under the leadership of Acting President Mrs. Rosalind Y. T. Doe.“This is a step in the right direction for the university community, especially the completion of projects started under past administrations,” Archbishop Jubwe stated. He emphasized the importance of continuity, collaboration, and sustained progress in the growth and development of the institution.Former President of SMPU, Sister Mary Laurene, OSF, expressed her appreciation to Acting President Mrs. Rosalind Y. T. Doe and the entire university community for maintaining the momentum of development and ensuring the realization of projects begun during her tenure.In her remarks, Acting President Mrs. Rosalind Y. T. Doe expressed profound gratitude to Archbishop Jubwe for blessing the facility, and to Sister Mary Laurene, OSF, and the Very Reverend Father McDonald Nah for honoring the occasion with their presence. She also extended special thanks to Mr. Alexander B. Berrian, the construction workers, the maintenance department, and the university community for their dedication and hard work in bringing the project to completion.The newly constructed modern cafeteria is expected to provide a comfortable, safe, and hygienic environment for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy meals and socialize, thereby contributing to the overall well-being and academic excellence of the university community.The completion of the cafeteria marks a significant milestone in Stella Maris Polytechnic University’s ongoing efforts to enhance its infrastructure and student services, reaffirming its commitment to quality education and holistic development.
