Archdiocesan Youth Mark Feast of St. John Bosco and Install New Youth Assembly

Event Description

The youth of the Archdiocese joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. John Bosco on Saturday, January 31, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. The occasion also marked the official closing of the Youth Fest and the installation of the new Archdiocesan Youth Assembly.More than 500 young people gathered for the celebration, joined by 10 priests, members of the Knights, Ladies, Auxiliary, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and other youth and lay groups. Youth from the Dioceses of Cape Palmas and Gbarnga were also present, adding a strong sense of unity and national communion to the event.During the Holy Mass, the Bishop encouraged the young people to follow the example of St. John Bosco by living according to Christian values and remaining faithful to the teachings of the Church. He reminded them that Don Bosco dedicated his life to the formation of young people and challenged today’s youth to become responsible witnesses of Christ in society.The celebration was further enriched by the presence of the National Youth Director, Ms. Gwendolyn Myers, and the President of the Laity Council, Cllr. Andrew Nimley Jr., who joined in the prayers and festivities.The event concluded in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, renewed commitment, and joyful fraternity, as the youth of the Archdiocese entrusted their mission and leadership to God through the intercession of St. John Bosco.The Archdiocesan Youth Secretariat also congratulates the newly installed Archdiocesan Youth Assembly (AYA) Officials, who were installed by His Grace the Archbishop during today’s Mass: * William Mentor Flomo – President * Agnes M.
