Event Description

A Shepherd Among His Flock: Archbishop Visits St. Dominic Catholic School TUBMANBURG, BOMI COUNTY – On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, His Grace paid a memorable Pastoral Visitation to St. Dominic Catholic School. The visit aimed to foster spiritual closeness, strengthen the faith of the youth, and bring the tangible presence of the Archdiocese to the Bomi County community.Nourishing the Soul: The Eucharistic Homily- The visit began with a Holy Mass. In his homily, the Archbishop spoke directly to the students about their identity as Catholic scholars.Christian Values: He insisted that students must live out Christian values and behave in a manner worthy of a Catholic education.Academic & Moral Duty: He urged them to concentrate deeply on their studies and to show unwavering respect to both their teachers and parents.Guidance in the Classrooms: Purity, Safety, and Vocation- Following Mass, the Archbishop visited individual classrooms, offering fatherly wisdom on the moral and practical challenges facing today's youth, like "Canonical Distance" and substance abuse. He emphasized the concept of "Canonical distance," explaining that boys and girls must maintain healthy boundaries and limits in their friendships to respect each other's dignity.Rejecting Harmful Drugs: With deep concern, he strongly warned the students to distance themselves from harmful drugs that threaten their futures. As he concluded his homily, the Archbishop drew the students' attention to Vocation to the Priesthood and Religious Life. He passionately encouraged the students to consider a calling to the priesthood or religious sisterhood in order to carry out and sustain the mission of Christ. The visit left the St. Dominic community renewed in hope, discipline, and faith. Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, pray for our students!
