On September 16, His Grace, the Most Reverend Gabriel Blamo Jubwe, Archbishop of Monrovia, embarked on an official Pastoral Visitation to the United Kingdom. This journey marks a significant milestone in strengthening international ecclesial bonds, expressing heartfelt gratitude to longstanding mission partners, and nurturing key pastoral relationships.Upon his arrival in London, His Grace was warmly received by Rev. Fr. Henry S. Somah, a priest of the Archdiocese of Monrovia currently serving in the UK, alongside Rev. Fr. Garry Jenkins, SMA, a missionary priest from the UK working in Liberia.A primary objective of the Archbishop's visit is to express the gratitude of the clergy, religious, and lay faithful of Monrovia to key partner organizations whose support sustains vital ministries in Liberia.During his stay, His Grace held productive business and pastoral discussions with representatives of Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) UK, including Dr. Caroline Hull (National Director) and Mr. John Pontifex (Head of Press & Information).The ACN leadership extended a fraternal welcome to the Archbishop, reaffirming their steadfast commitment to supporting pastoral initiatives across the Archdiocese.His Grace’s itinerary in the UK has been spiritually rich and full of encouragement. Some highlights of the visitation include:1. A visit to the UK Parliament at Westminster, engaging learning more about international cooperation efforts.2. Fraternal exchanges with brother bishops and clergy in the region to foster mutual solidarity and prayerful support.3. Attendance at Westminster Cathedral for the immersive "Lumière" (Luminescence) light and music experience, celebrating sacred architecture and the beauty of faith through modern imagery.4. A brotherly visit to the SMA (Society of African Missions) House in London, honoring the deep historical and ongoing missionary ties between the SMA Fathers and the Church in Liberia.The Journey has been one of Faith and Mutual Support. Throughout his encounters, Archbishop Gabriel Blamo Jubwe has carried the prayers and warm greetings of the entire Archdiocesan family in Monrovia.
