Somah, a priest of the Archdiocese of Monrovia currently serving in the UK.The final stage of the Archbishop's visit featured key stops highlighting ecumenical fellowship, historical reverence, and episcopal communion. At the conclusion of the trip, His Grace visited the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, followed by an ecumenical visit to the Church of England Cathedral (Anglican Cathedral) in Liverpool, where he spent moments in quiet reflection and prayer in the Chapel of the Canons. In the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lancaster, the Archbishop was warmly received by Most Reverend Paul Swarbrick, Bishop of Lancaster. The Archbishop shared moments of fraternal dialogue with with his brother bishop, Most Reverend Swarbrick at the Bishop’s Residence and engaged with Canon Philip, Dean of St. Peter’s Cathedral in Lancaster.A "poignant" moment of the visit took place at the Memorial Stone of the Lancaster Martyrs, where His Grace Most Reverend Gabriel Blamo Jubwe paid homage to the historical men and women who stood firm in witness to the Catholic faith. These final stops built upon earlier engagements during his UK itinerary ( keenly organized by the Office of the Archbishop and Father Henry), which included a diplomatic visit to the Embassy of Liberia in London, interactions with clergy and mission partners particularly Society of African Missions (SMA) and Aid to the Church in Need International (ACN) and fraternal discussions on diaspora participation in growth Liberia. As His Grace returns to the Archdiocese Monrovia to resume his shepherd’s duty among the faithful, the Archdiocese extends its profound gratitude to all priests, religious, The SMA, ACN International, the Church in thw UK, and well-wishers in the diaspora—and particularly to Reverend Father Henry S. Somah—for their warm hospitality and selfless coordination. The Archdiocese expresses its deepest appreciation to the faithful across Liberia, Catholics Without Boundaries, and others abroad whose prayers, love, and support accompanied His Grace Most Reverend Dr. Gabriel Blamo Jubwe throughout this grace-filled journey.
