Event Description

On Saturday, 14th February, the Archbishop of Monrovia, His Grace Gabriel Blamo Jubwe, celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass for the newly elected and installed officers of the Supreme Subordinate Commandery of Liberia of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI) and the Ladies Auxiliary.During the Holy Mass, the Archbishop warmly acknowledged the invaluable services rendered by the Knights and Ladies Auxiliary to the Church over the years, particularly in the areas of social justice, fraternity, accountability, and charity. He encouraged the new leadership to remain steadfast in their commitment to the mission of the Church and to continue being visible witnesses of Christian service in society.In response, the Knights and Ladies Auxiliary pledged their fullest support to the Church, ecumenical bodies, and the nation, reaffirming their dedication to promoting unity, peace, and moral leadership in Liberia.The newly elected leadership of the Supreme Subordinate Commandery includes:Major General Andrew Nimley Jr. – Supreme Subordinate PresidentRespected Philomina Williams – Supreme Subordinate Respected PresidentThe solemn celebration was graced by ten priests, including:The Supreme Subordinate Spiritual Director, Very Reverend Dennis C. NimeneThe Chaplain of KSJI, Archdiocese of Monrovia, Reverend Father Philip W. Tickey Jr.The District Superior of Society of African Missions Liberia (SMA Liberia), Very Reverend Tayee BoleyMembers of the Knights of St. John International, the Ladies Auxiliary, clergy, and lay faithful were present in large numbers, creating an atmosphere of thanksgiving, fraternity, and joyful celebration.The Mass concluded with expressions of gratitude to God for the gift of leadership and with prayers for wisdom, unity, and perseverance for the newly installed officers as they begin their term of service.
