Celebrating 60 Years of Grace: Sister Anella Marks Diamond Jubilee of Religious Profession

Celebrating 60 Years of Grace: Sister Anella Marks Diamond Jubilee of Religious Profession

Event Description

Celebrating 60 Years of Grace: Sister Anella’s Diamond JubileeThe Catholic community of the Archdiocese of Monrovia erupted in joy on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, as Reverend Sister Caterina Gianoglio (Sr. Anella, MC) celebrated her 60th anniversary of religious profession as a Consolata Missionary. To honor her six decades of unwavering devotion, Archbishop Gabriel Blamo Jubwe celebrated a special Mass, offering profound praise for Sister Anella’s tireless dedication to elevating the human dignity of the poor, the forgotten, and the most vulnerable.Sister Anella’s journey is deeply woven into the fabric of Liberian history:Answering the Call (January 1977): She arrived on Liberian soil alongside the late Sister Paola to begin her missionary service. Her early ministry flourished within the Liberia Agricultural Company (LAC) school system, where she planted seeds of faith that blossomed into lifelong belief in young hearts. For decades, she served as God's instrument of consolation for countless families enduring hardship, war, poverty, and displacement.Today, Sr. Anella continues to bring her wealth of wisdom and gentle spirit to the St. Pius X Catholic Community.Living the Charism of ConsolationSister Anella’s life perfectly embodies the core charism of the Consolata Missionaries: bringing God's true healing and consolation to a broken world."Sister Aniella has not just preached the Gospel; she has lived it. For 60 years, she has been the hands and feet of Christ, binding up the wounds of the suffering and reminding the vulnerable that they are never forgotten by God." — Archbishop Gabriel Blamo JubweFollowing the vision of her congregation’s founder, St. Giuseppe Allamano, she has shown that a missionary's purpose is not to condemn, but to console, heal, and renew. Her decades of unwavering "yes" to God remain a radiant beacon for future generations called to religious service. The Archdiocese of Monrovia extends its deepest congratulations to Sister Anella on her Diamond Jubilee. Ad multos annos! May God continue to grant her good health and guide her beautiful service.
