The Office of the Archbishop extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the faithful for your prayers and spiritual support offered for the Archbishop, Most Reverend Dr. Gabriel Blamo Jubwe, and his brother bishops, Most Reverend Andrew J. Karnley and Most Reverend Anthony F. Borwah, along with their counterparts from Sierra Leone and The Gambia, during their Ad Limina Apostolorum Visit to Rome.Your prayers strengthened them throughout the visit and accompanied them in their meetings, reflections, and pilgrimages to the holy places of the Church.On Friday, March 27, the bishops participated in an important session with the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. Discussions focused on the protection of children and vulnerable persons in the Church, the importance of safeguarding policies in dioceses, listening to survivors, proper formation for clergy and Church workers, and fostering a culture of accountability, care, and transparency in every local Church.The bishops were encouraged to continue strengthening safeguarding structures within their dioceses and to ensure that all pastoral ministries remain safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all.During their stay, the bishops also visited the SMA Generalate, where they enjoyed a warm and fraternal encounter. They had the opportunity to take photos with Cardinal Peter Turkson, marking a joyful moment of fellowship and encouragement.The Ad Limina Apostolorum Visit—an important occasion for bishops to deepen their communion with the Holy Father and the universal Church—concluded on Saturday, March 28.
