STC Teachers Strengthen Their Faith Ahead of 2026–2027 Academic Year

Event Description

STC Teachers Prepare Spiritually Ahead of the 2026–2027 Academic YearThe teaching staff of St. Teresa Convent School (STC) gathered on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, for a day of spiritual recollection and reconciliation as they prepared to resume regular lessons for the 2026–2027 academic year. The recollection was held under the theme: “Before you were formed in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I knew you.” — Jeremiah 1:5.The three-hour spiritual exercise included talks, personal sharing, prayer, and the celebration of Holy Mass. It was moderated by the school Chaplain, Father Johnny-Clement Kombo. In his reflection, Father Johnny-Clement reminded the teachers that teaching is more than a profession or a contract; it is a vocation and a divine calling.“God called you to St. Teresa Convent before you were born to mold young hearts.”He encouraged the teachers to see their work as a sacred responsibility, calling them to faithfully plant knowledge, virtue, and faith in the hearts and minds of their students.Reflecting on 1 Corinthians 3:6, where St. Paul says, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth,” Father Johnny-Clement reminded the teachers that while educators plant and nurture the seeds of learning and faith, true growth ultimately comes from God.More than 50 teachers participated in the recollection, which concluded with the celebration of Holy Mass. The Principal, Sr. Fatima John, and the School Supervisor, Sr. Evelina, FMM, were also present. The spiritual gathering provided an opportunity for the STC family to renew their faith, strengthen their commitment to the mission of Catholic education, and prepare themselves spiritually for the new academic year. The STC family and the entire Archdiocese of Monrovia remain grateful to God for the opportunity for spiritual renewal and for the dedication of the school's teachers as they prepare to welcome students back to the classroom. From the Office of the Archbishop Archdiocese of Monrovia
