Office of the ArchbishopUPDATE ON THE ARCHBISHOP’S AD LIMINA APOSTOLORUM VISIT – ROMEWe are pleased to inform you that the Archbishop, Most Reverend Dr. Gabriel Blamo Jubwe, is currently in Rome for the sacred Ad Limina Apostolorum Visit. This is a significant moment in the life of the Church. The Ad Limina Apostolorum Visit (meaning “to the thresholds of the Apostles”) is a pilgrimage undertaken by bishops to the tombs of the Apostles. It is also an important occasion for bishops to meet with the Holy Father, present reports on the pastoral life of their dioceses, and strengthen communion with the universal Church. So far, the meetings have been fruitful and encouraging:Monday, March 23:
The Archbishop, together with his brother bishops, met with the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.Tuesday, March 24:
Meetings were held with the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, as well as the Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development. These encounters provide valuable opportunities for deeper reflection on evangelization, interreligious harmony, social justice, and the mission of the Church in today’s world.Wednesday, March 27:
The delegation is scheduled to meet with the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. All is progressing well, and we humbly request your continued prayers for the Archbishop and his brother bishops—Most Reverend Anthony Fallah Borwah (Gbarnga), Most Reverend Andrew J. Karnley (Cape Palmas), as well as bishops from The Gambia and Sierra Leone—that the Holy Spirit may guide them in their mission. It is our fervent prayer that this visit will strengthen the bonds of unity, faith, and pastoral charity within the Church.“That they may all be one” (John 17:21).Thank you, and may God bless you.We rely on your continued prayers for the bishops.Kind regards,
Office of the Archbishop
